Getting there and parking
- Free car park 25 spots Along the road, Viale dei Golfi. Not many — getting there early pays off.
- Paid car park by the beach Il Pinone on Via del Pinone, closer to the sand — for anyone who missed the free spaces.

The beach
- Ground A very long white sand beach — probably one of the longest on the island. Plenty of room even when it's busy.
- Water Shallow, good for children. Families gather on the left-hand side.
There's shade on the left in front of the wall at Camping Village Stella Mare (Via del Moletto, 42.756971, 10.312875). What hours it actually holds we haven't timed yet — that follows.
Wind
Wind rule: still open
Lacona sits in a wide gulf open to the south — geometrically, southerly winds come straight in. We haven't observed it yet, so the rose stays empty. That's coastal geometry, not a measurement.

Plenty of room — and a camper crowd
The beach is so long that the length itself is the trick: move away from the access points and you'll find room, even on busy days. The crowd bunches up by the car park and the bars.
Left and right, on the rocks of the bay, are plenty of campsites with a great view — hence the large share of German and Swiss guests. Lacona is a family and camper beach, not a quiet retreat.
Food and drink
A great bar at the right-hand end, right on the beach (Beach Bar, Via Laconella — 42.759824, 10.299774), plus more restaurants and bars on the sand. Reachable from your towel — so it counts for the price index.
We haven't logged Aperol, espresso and cola here yet — it follows once we've been on site. Nothing gets guessed.
Our verdict
A great deal of white sand, probably one of the longest beaches on the island — family-friendly, but nothing for lovers of romantic coves.
… you're after a romantic, secluded cove. Lacona is the opposite: long, open, lively.
… you arrive late. The 25 free spaces go early.
… you've no small children with you but still want quiet — this is family territory.
