Getting there and parking
- Free car park 5 spots A small free car park — only five spaces, so it fills up fast.
- Paid car park free at night Large and comfortable, chargeable by day, free in the evening. At a pinch you can also pay to park at the bar or park free at the roadside.
Two car parks on Via Norsi, 57031 Capoliveri: the large paid car park at 42.765367, 10.343465, the few free spaces at 42.765236, 10.342895. Neighbour of Felciaio on the same south coast.
The beach
- Character Easy-going, but no postcard beach. Honestly, no beauty spot — you come for the atmosphere, the food and the evening, not the scenery.
- Still open Ground, shade and how you get into the water we haven't systematically logged yet — it follows, nothing gets guessed.
Wind
Wind rule: still open
Norsi sits on the same south coast as Felciaio, where south and southeast winds wash in algae. Whether the same holds here we haven't checked — that's coastal geometry, not observation. The rose stays empty until we've seen it.
- All directions: not yet assessed
Food and drink — the real reason
Two bars on the beach — the right-hand one is a local secret
Two bars and restaurants right on the sand. The right-hand one is the reason to come: incredibly friendly, and with one of the best pizzas on the island. The tip: pizza right on the beach in the evening, with the sunset.
The clifftop bar — Aperol with a view
If you stay the whole afternoon, take the path up the hill to the hippie-ish bar on the cliff (Via Norsi, 42.764119, 10.337927): plenty of seating, a stunning view — and the climb keeps you fit (about 15–20 minutes). If you'd rather not walk, pay to park at the bar or park free at the roadside.
We haven't logged Aperol, espresso and cola here yet — it follows once we've been on site. The clifftop bar isn't within towel reach anyway, so it counts as supplies, not for the price index.
Our verdict
[verdict to follow]
… you're after a postcard beach. Norsi is easy-going, but no beauty spot.
… you're counting on the small free car park by day. Five spaces go fast — the large one frees up in the evening.
… you'd rather skip the climb to the clifftop bar. The view up there costs 15–20 minutes uphill.
